Single dental implants are often used to replace one missing tooth to restore the patient’s ability to chew or to improve their appearance. Sometimes a patient is missing multiple teeth and isn’t a candidate for the All-on-X procedure and just needs 2-4 implants to restore their ability to chew or improve their appearance.

The implants are placed in the jawbone and take 3-6 months to heal. Once the surgeon decides that the implant is a success, that’s when the final custom implant abutment and custom implant crown are fabricated.
